We’ve investigated the net worth of a fair few Dragons so far, with Peter Jones coming out the richest.
But how much do we know about the new Dragons? Jenny Campbell, for example, has become only the sixth female dragon to appear on the show and is the second woman currently in the den, alongside mainstay Deborah Meaden.
Unless you’re a regular business enthusiast, you probably don’t know much about Jenny Campbell, though. Like, what is her net worth? And how’d she get so loaded?
What is Jenny Campbell’s Net Worth?
Jenny seems to be a very private person – she’s only hinted at her net worth.
Therefore, unlike the other Dragons, we don’t actually have an estimate to what her net worth is.
However, Jenny has revealed that she has sold a company for £50 million in order to pay off her mortgage. We reckon you could pay off quite a few mortgages with that, Jenny.
How Did Jenny Campbell Get Rich?
Like a lot of successful business people – Lord Alan Sugar, Peter Jones, Duncan Bannatyne – Jenny left school at the age of 16 and began everyday working life.
She then attended night school to study for banking qualifications, passed her exams and secured a role in NatWest’s head office.
The Royal Bank of Scotland’s take over NatWest shook things up a bit and landed Jenny a senior role. However, the 2007 recession pressured RBS into selling a company called Hanco, which Jenny snapped up herself and changed into her own company called YourCash, a cashpoint company.
We figure this is the company she eventually sold for £50 million. However, she is still Chief Executive.
How Did Jenny Get on Dragons’ Den?
Apparently, Jenny has always been a massive fan of the BBC show and when former Dragon’s Nick Jenkins and Sarah Willingham vacated their seats in the Den, Jenny contacted the BBC for a screen test.
The screen test went well, obviously, so the BBC offered her a seat.
How Old is Jenny Campbell?
Jenny was born on October 5th, 1961. That makes her 56 years old.
Who is Jenny Campbell’s Husband?
Jenny is married to husband Andrew, who is now retired after 30 years of service in the RAF.
The two live on a country estate in Suffolk with three beautiful dogs. Oh, they also have two sons named Rik, 29, and Tom, 25. But it’s the dogs we care about more, right?
WATCH DRAGONS’ DEN ON SUNDAY ON BBC TWO, AT 8 PM.
