Keeley Donovan is the host for BBC’s new series Powering Britain, which starts on October 29th. We found out her age, job and Instagram!

Keeley will be seen heading 75 miles off the Yorkshire coast to see the Hornsea One building, the world’s biggest offshore windfarm.

She looks at how England’s energy needs are met, discovering the behind-the-scenes of the country’s wind, nuclear, gas and biomass industries.

Meet Keeley Donovan

Keeley is a 37-year-old journalist and broadcaster. She works at the BBC as a weather presenter for both television and radio stations in north England.

The Grimsby-born Powering Britain host started her broadcasting career at the age of 14, presenting for Channel 7 Television (now Estuary TV), a local TV station in Immingham.

She then went freelance alongside her studies and began working for BBC Yorkshire and Lincolnshire in 2005, joining Propeller TV a year later.

After studying broadcast meteorology with the Met Office and the BBC Weather Centre, Donovan started presenting weather forecasts.

Where else have we seen Keeley Donovan?

In September 2015, she co-presented the daytime factual show Break-in Britain, before co-presenting the BBC series Countryfile Diaries, a spin off of the popular Countryfile programme, in March 2016.

In August 2017, Keeley was named as the new presenter of the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire variation of the BBC’s Inside Out, which she was previously a reporter for.

Six years ago, Keeley joined BBC Radio Humberside to present the station’s Saturday morning show.

Keeley, who is married to fellow BBC presenter Johnny I’Anson, has over 20,000 followers on Instagram.

She regularly shares pictures of family life. Keeley and Johnny’s first child and daughter Scout was born on July 10, 2020.

In her bio, she describes herself as a “BBC presenter, weather bod, cat lover, welly wearer and Grimsby girl”.
