Blue Planet Live is an upcoming BBC wildlife special.
The series is a spin-off of the massively popular original Blue Planet series and will aim to examine aquatic wildlife from around the world.
Blue Planet Live will also look at the current state of the world’s oceans, and each episode will be broadcast live.

Is David Attenborough narrating Blue Planet Live?
Sadly, Sir David Attenborough will not be narrating Blue Planet Live on the BBC.
According to The Sun, the legendary presenter previously won a Bafta and a National TV Award in 2018 for his work on 2017’s Blue Planet II.
In his Bafta’s acceptance speech, Sir David pleaded with viewers who enjoyed his shows to “protect our beautiful world”.
What is Blue Planet Live about?
Blue Planet Live is a four-part wildlife special hosted by Chris Packham, Steve Backshall and Liz Bonnin.
The presenters will examine the locations and species featured on the original Blue Planet documentary.
Each episode will air from the East Coast of the United States, The Bahamas and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
BBC boss Charlotte Moore spoke previously about the new series. She said: “Blue Planet Live will thrill the millions of viewers who discovered so much from the ground-breaking series that shocked the nation. BBC One continues to lead that conversation as we travel live around the globe to witness first hand the magnificent marine life within our oceans and wake up to one of the biggest environmental crisis of our times.”
When is Blue Planet Live on TV?
The BBC wildlife series will air in four parts, starting on Sunday, March 24th at 8 pm on BBC One.
Blue Planet Live will then continue in the same timeslot on Wednesday, March 27th, and again on Thursday, March 28th.
