The Greatest Dancer: Who is COMPANY JINKS' creator? What else has he done?

The BBC’s The Greatest Dancer is here!

Cheryl, Matthew Morrison from Glee, and Strictly’s Oti Mabuse are The Dance Captains.

The judges don’t have all the power in this show, though, as it’s up to the audience to decide who goes and who stays on to be mentored, potentially win £50,000 and perform on Strictly Come Dancing.

The hopeful dance contestants are ready to bust some moves and perfect their plies.

Episode 2 of The Greatest Dancer saw dance group Company Jinks enter the building and take over the show.

So, who put Company Jinks together?

Company Jinks Choreographer

Ricky Jinks is the man responsible for sourcing all the dancers and putting them together to form Company Jinks.

The group described themselves as ‘contemporary fusion commercial contemporary’ much to the amusement of The Greatest Dancer’s receptionist, Amelia Wilson.

Who is Ricky Jinks?

Ricky is a professional dancer who teaches classes at both Pineapple Dance Studios and Studio 68.

He’s also a Can You Dance? Tutor, his online profile states that he started street, ballroom and Latin dancing as a child and at age 15 added many other styles to his repertoire.

One of Ricky’s many professional credits includes dancing for Kylie Minogue at the X Factor Final 2016 at Wembley Arena.

Company Jinks’ Performance

Not only did the judges love it but Twitter went wild after seeing Company Jinks’ crisp performance.

The dance group were so impressive they got a standing ovation from all three judges.

Cheryl and Oti both said they’d like to work with Company Jinks and pretended to have a fist fight over them.

Oti said:

That was mind-blowing!

And, Cheryl said that they had set the bar for the whole competition.
