The 2019 BAFTAs took place on Sunday, May 12th.
The famous TV awards were held at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
And while the occasion is of course centred around the TV talent of today, there’s always time to have a look at who was wearing what.
So, here’s a look at Daisy May Cooper’s bin bag dress and seven BAFTA outfits that were equally as rubbish!
- TOWIE: Is it all over for Pete Wicks and his girlfriend Georgina?
- Are Shelby Tribble and Tom McDonnell an item?
- Where is Britain’s Got Talent filmed?

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
All we can assume is that was what Daisy May Cooper was going for with this bin bag dress.
She’s spreading the word on household rubbish by the looks of things, although we’re not sure why.
According to the BBC, the dress was made by her mum and Daisy “donated the money she would have spent on a proper dress to her local food bank”.
Good move on the food bank donation, Daisy, but was the pigeon headpiece really necessary?
She also managed to get a nice bit of free advertising for Screw Fix, too. Result!

Suffering as a suffragette
Sometimes kicking it old school works a treat, but this time Lucy Worsley’s white ensemble is pretty much sending us to sleep.
There’s retro, vintage, cool and then there’s whacking on your grandmother’s old padded sole heels…

Floral Faux Pas
There’s not one but two guests that made their way into ‘floral faux pas’.
Mandip Gill and Helen Worth both opted for full-length gowns heavily patterned in flowers.
Mandip attempted to modernise her look – which only made things worse – by adding different coloured shoes.
And Helen, quite frankly, could’ve twirled into some curtains and later found herself on the red carpet.

Hollyoaks gets funky
Jennifer Metcalfe is the stunning brunette that played Mercedes McQueen in Hollyoaks.
And while we’re all for a bit of kooky fashion now and again, this just takes the biscuit.
An oriental-style, bird adorned yellow suit? This tux-type-thing is just causing sheer confusion.

Dr Who? Is that you?
We could barely see Jodie Whittaker under all of the heavy-looking material!
Jodie opted for a minimalist number, teamed with a black handbag and open-toe heels.
Some may say ‘effortlessly chic’ – we say more effort could have been made, Jodie.

Artsy mess
Another Hollyoaks star to make the list is Anna Passey.
Difficult to describe, Anna turned up in an anti-climatic strapless gown which could pass for a table cloth from an arts and crafts fair.
Artistic flair? More like artistic flop.

Just a little…bit boring
Michelle Heaton has probably worn her fair share of interesting outfits if you think back to her 2005 Liberty X days.
And while this red dress could be passable, that’s not what the red carpet’s all about.
Someone, please tell Michelle that it’s not 2002 anymore and lace inserts are quite simply, no longer allowed!

We don’t know whether to laugh or cry
At first glance, it looks like Julia’s popped on her nan’s nightgown, teamed it with her grandad’s dressing gown tie around her neck and added some cloggy heels to match.
She may be one of the funniest women in TV but from the length of the gown to it’s Bridget Jonesey colour tone, this one could almost have us in tears.
