Who is Duncan Laurence?
Duncan Laurence – real name Duncan de Moor – is a 25-year-old originally from Hellevoetsluis in The Netherlands.
He started his music career at a young age, playing in different bands until he eventually went to Fonty’s Rock Academy in Tilburg.
But finding his feet musically was always as struggle for Duncan, as he explained:
I grew up in a town where music was a stranger. Music had no part in the regular school system. But that couldn’t keep me from making music.

What song is he taking to Tel Aviv?
Duncan will be performing his hit single ‘Arcade’ in the Eurovision final.
‘Arcade’ is the second most watched music video – following Maltese Michaela’s ‘Chamaleon’ – out of all the competitiors.
Considering that The Netherlands haven’t won a Eurovision Song Contest in over 44 years, there’s a lot riding on this song to be the one to take home the prize…
Has he been in any other competitions?
Duncan also took part in The Voice Holland back in 2014.
He was coached by Dutch singing legend Isle DeLange and made it to the Live Rounds before being knocked out.
