Culinary competition Masterchef is back for 2019!
Each week a new batch of contestants battle it out for a place in the quarter-finals.
In episode 4 Jim, Stephen and Carise made it through to the quarter-finals.

Where is Carise From?
Carise was born and raised in London, she’s 24 years old.
She takes great pride in her Caribbean roots and said on Masterchef: “Cooking is what I love to do. It’s second nature to me.”
Carise is a full-time mum, she has a 2-year-old son which she said enables her to cook a lot at home.
In episode 4 Carise said: “I want to show authentic Caribbean food…with real flavour and passion.”
Masterchef Episode 4 – Carise
Carise was the youngest contestant to cook in episode 4.
Firstly, she rustled up jerk chicken with festival dumplings, pepper and onion salad and a jerk mayonnaise for the judges and it was smiles all round.
Next, she cooked up brown stew chicken with pumpkin rice and plantain.
For dessert, Carise made a lemon and ginger cheesecake with a blueberry compote.
When it was announced that Carise went through to the quarter-finals she said: “This is an accomplishment for me in my life. Because I’ve never, like, I don’t feel like I’ve achieved anything. So this is a massive deal. ”
