As BBC Children in Need fundraising gets underway, The Rickshaw Challenge is back for 2020. Here’s how you can donate…
Matt Baker and a team of six young people are taking on the fundraising challenge this year – marking its 10th anniversary.
This year will see the eight-day challenge tell the stories of its heroic young riders as usual, but with a different format due to Covid-19 restrictions.
So what is The Rickshaw Challenge text number? Here’s how to donate!

What is the Rickshaw Challenge?
The team of 7, including Matt Baker, plan to ride the equivalent of Matt’s first solo Rickshaw ride in 2011, from Edinburgh to London – 332 miles in a straight line – but will be doing this at the ‘Glorious’ Goodwood grounds (Goodwood Racecourse, Chichester).
They are setting out to take on the ‘mammoth challenge’, starting on Friday November 6th, and will be faced with a variety of terrains to reach their target each day, in time for a live broadcast on The One Show each night.
BBC Children in Need and The One Show have said they will monitor the current situation, and may update these plans if the situation changes.
Matt Baker will giving an update each night on BBC One’s The One Show at 7pm from the first day of the challenge, until it ends.
