The Great British Sewing Bee is currently airing its fifth series, and once again the judges are on the lookout for Britain’s best sewer.

The hopefuls are judged by Patrick Grant and Esme Young, and the BBC series is presented by comedian Joe Lycett.

What does the winner of the Sewing Bee get?

The winner of the Great British Sewing Bee will be revealed tonight (Tuesday, April 2nd).

According to iNews, the winner of the Sewing Bee is rewarded with a trophy.

There is no cash prize or an industry deal to help them progress with their career after the show.

Who won the Great British Sewing Bee?

The winner of the Sewing Bee 2019 was Juliet.

According to the Express, the winner described her win as being “really surreal” and “so unbelievable.”

Juliet went on to add “I’ve never won anything ever. I’ve had to fight for a lot of things.”

She joins the Great British Sewing Bee hall of fame, which includes the previous winners Ann Rowley, Heather Jacks, Matt Chapple and Charlotte Newland.

Who else was in the Sewing Bee final?

A total of three hopefuls made it to the Great British Sewing Bee final.

Winner Juliet was joined by Ricardo and Leah, who were named this year’s runners-up.

According to the Express, when speaking about the series winner, Ricardo said “Juliet, she has amazing ideas and the execution is impeccable.”

What happened in the Sewing Bee final?

The finalists were tasked with completing three final challenges.

The challenges included a pattern task, in which they had to sew a double-breasted waistcoat, and an alteration challenge, which saw the contestants create a dress out of curtains.

The final challenge of the episode was the made-to-measure challenge, where the finalists were asked to sew a strapless evening gown.
