Where is Keep Cooking at Christmas filmed?

  • Keep Cooking at Christmas was filmed in Jamie Oliver’s house over the summer lockdown as a direct response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

In the Instagram post announcing the show, Jamie is wearing a festive ‘ho-ho-ho’ Santa jumper and stood in front of a Turkey with his children who are tasting some gravy.

The Instagram caption read: “Two Christmas specials this year! Packed with helpful, practical and flexible recipes for whatever your cooking ability, to help make Christmas stress-free but utterly delicious. Sneak-peek at some of the recipes coming soon – hope you love it.”

Is the kitchen his house?

The kitchen that they are filming in is at Jamie Olivers family home, it shows him in the larder of his house cooking some festive dishes. The Oliver family moved to Finchingfield, Essex, last year, and are all self-isolating together in their £6million home, Spains Hall.

Jamie told Instagram fans that he decided to film in that part of the house because the room makes for good lighting, but explained they have had to rest their sofas up against the walls to help with the sound quality. “We’re doing it in the coldest part of the house because it’s got decent light here. The sound is terrible so we put the sofas around like that,” he revealed.

Keep Cooking at Christmas, is due to be aired at 8 pm this Sunday, 6th December. It appears as though there will be a second episode, which will be on the following Sunday.
