BBC’s This Farming Life has given us an insight into the world of milk and meat providers.

Farmers and their families are seen taking on the trials and tribulations among looking after cattle. Emma and Ewan, showcased on August 25th, were seen trying to find out if their pedigree bull is firing on all cylinders.

Shepherdess Emma Gray was a particular fan favourite when she appeared on the show. So where is the This Farming Life star now? Here is an update on her family life – plus dog training and looking after sheep!

Meet shepherdess Emma Gray

Emma Gray is a third generation farmer and shepherdess. She made her name breeding and selling sheepdogs.

She is also a mum to toddler Len and wife to firefighter Ewan Irvine. They live together as a family on Fallowlees Farm, situated on a large acre of land in Morpeth, Northumberland.

Emma looks after 400 sheep and 30 cows, as shown on This Farming Life. She also wrote a book called One Girl and Her Dogs which tells the story of her journey to Fallowlees Farm and the trials of everyday life.

Where else have we seen Emily?

Emma has appeared on Countryfile when its filming team travelled to Fallowlees Farm.

She also travelled to London to be interviewed for her book on The Alan Titchmarsh Show.

Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole was also tutored by Emma to win ITV’s Flockstars.

Since appearing on This Farming Life, Emma and Ewan continue to enjoy their lives at Fallowlees Farm looking after hundreds of sheep, 30 cows and several sheepdogs.

Emma regularly gives story updates of her training the sheepdogs on the farm. Their son Len is also keeping them busy aside from farming life.
