Bunny and Leah’s relationship
Bunny and her TV personality daughter, Leah McSweeney have endured an unstable relationship throughout the years. Although the pair haven’t seen eye to eye on a number of issues, the main cause of their unhappy relationship stems from Leah’s alcoholism.
Prior to joining the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City, Leah had been sober for 9 years, however as a young girl her alcoholism affected their mother-daughter relationship so heavily that Bunny kicked Leah out in the hope that she would end her alcohol misuse.
Bunny’s hard parenting did encourage Leah to change her ways and sober up, however when Leah began drinking again in 2019, Bunny once again cut off all contact with her daughter.
Today the pair continue to have a strained relationship as seen on the 16th episode of season 13, however, they appear to be in a better place than they once were.
