Who is Tom McDonnell?
Personal trainer Tom is 24 years old.
The TOWIE newbie’s dad is former boxer and boxing trainer Jim McDonnell.
By the looks of Tom’s Instagram, he’s good friends with UK boxer James DeGale.
Are Shelby and Tom exclusive?
Things were just starting out for the pair when both Tom and Shelby turned up to the traffic light party in episode 7 in green.
The love birds haven’t shared any pictures on their social media accounts linking to one another.
By the end of series 24, Shelby had to choose between her old flame Sam Mucklow and Tom.
She chose nice guy Tom and they shared a kiss during the season finale, however, only time will tell if the couple is to become official!
Shelby Tribble: Relationship history
Before Tom came along Shelby had a ‘mare with her co-star Sam Mucklow.
The pair’s friendship was said to have turned romantic in Thailand before Sam moved on to Chloe Sims’ sister, Demi.
However, in series 24 episode 9, Sam looked to be showing an interest in Shelby again by saying that she and Tom “are not compatible”.
Shelby did look to opt for newbie Tom over Sam, but the pair can be seen on Instagram partying in Ibiza for Tommy Mallet’s birthday in May 2019, so who knows, perhaps things will materialise with her and Sam again.
Previous to Sam Mucklow, Shelby was in a relationship with another TOWIE star, Pete Wicks, that relationship didn’t end well but the pair are now friends.
