The Favourite: Awards
The film has performed well at awards ceremonies throughout the past few months, winning five trophies at the recent BAFTA ceremony.
It will compete for 10 awards at tonight’s (Sunday February 24) Oscars, hoping to land one of: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress (Olivia Colman), Best Supporting Actress (both Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz), Best Original Screenplay, Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design and Best Production Design.
Whilst it may struggle in the three main categories, it has a good chance of taking home the Original Screenplay, Costume Design and Production Design, whilst Rachel Weisz is currently second-favourite for Best Supporting Actress.
