Jessica Plummer looks to be in with a chance of becoming a fan favourite on I’m A Celebrity, so what is the star’s ethnicity?

The stunning brunette entered the I’m A Celeb Castle on November 15th alongside fellow former-Eastender Shane Richie, AJ Pritchard, Victoria Derbyshire, Hollie Arnold, Mo Farah and more!

They’ve already gone crazy for bread and butter, cried over their luxury items and chowed down on squirrel, eel and oxtail. Jessica looks to be taking the experience in her stride, so let’s get to know her a little more.

Who is Jessica from I’m A Celebrity 2020?

Jessica Plummer is a singer and actress who is taking part in the twentieth series of ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! She’s a former member of girl band Neon Jungle, who had a huge hit with their song “Braveheart” in 2014.

The 28-year-old, whose most-recognised nowadays for her role in Eastenders as Chantelle Atkins, was born in London on September 16th, 1992. Jessica went to school in Wandsworth and Bromley and, according to NewsShopper, had a family home in Crystal Palace in 2014.

From a quick scan of Jessica’s IG, her parents seem to be separated.

  • According to Planet Radio, her dad is Jamaican and her mum, Pippa, is English.

 

Jessica looks to be very close with her parents, they often feature on her Instagram page. From family picnics to birthday gatherings, Jessica seems keen to post it all.

The 28-year-old may have siblings, however, there’s little information available regarding Jessica’s family.

If there’s anything Jessica posts more about that her own parents, it’s that she’s one herself!

Her daughter, Noa, was born in 2016. A double of her mum, Noa often features on Jessica’s IG page (@jessicakate_plummer).

Jessica is no longer with Noa’s dad, Jaz, and confirmed with ITV that she’s going into the Castle single. The couple, who were said to be childhood sweethearts, had a pretty public break up on the street in London in 2020.

The 2020 campmate is set to be a favourite for many viewers with some complaining to Twitter that she’s not getting enough air time. Some fans of the show have mocked the actress for crying – but she did say going in that she was scared of everything!
