Don’t Tell the Bride is back for its ninth series.
And just when you thought all the crazy wedding ideas had been used up.
Enter Yorkshire couple, Lee (28) and Becky (26).
The pair met 11 years ago. Lee thought Becky was ‘fit’ and Becky ‘liked a good chav’.
Here’s Don’t Tell the Bride 2018 episode 2 – it was eventful.
Cable Installer to Wedding Planner
Disorganised Lee had the task of all tasks planning this one. Fussy fiance Becky, admitted she could spend all day shopping with her friends and not find one item that she likes.
It looked like the odds were against him from the off.
Cable installer, Lee also had a lot of making up to do after taking Becky to watch Mr Bean’s Holiday at the cinema for their first date and proposing to her next to the kitchen bin.
The bride-to-be went pretty easy on Lee considering his lack of romance. The kids, on the other hand, didn’t hold back.

The Stag Do
Thoughts of what Lee and his brother and best man, Shane, would get up to was enough to get Becky panicking.

The lads planned a week-long caravan trip around Europe for the stag-do. Which Lee’s brother pointed out looks just like a dinosaur…

The stag-do took its toll on the groom-to-be, with him even sitting out on one of the nights.
What were you thinking, Lee?

The men were in high spirits during their trip on the continent. But, blew a lot more of the budget than they had initially planned. Never mind, it’s only £2,500 down the drain.

The Venue
Lee tried to play his romantic cards right by choosing a maze-themed wedding. He said:
I’d be lost without her.”
So, Becky got to be ‘lost’ without Lee and had the task of finding him through a maze on their big day.
How wonderful.

The Bridesmaid’s Dresses
Becky’s bridesmaids were less than impressed with Lee’s choice of bridesmaid’s dress.
He was really trying to push this foliage thing. But maybe he took it a bit too literally this time.
The women were furious and demanded a change of dress.

The Wedding Car
On the big day, Becky had a real surprise when she looked outside to see a tiny little mini turn up to take her to the wedding venue.
The look of sheer confusion on her face was priceless.

When Becky saw that her all-time-favourite, Mr Bean, was her chauffeur to the wedding, she soon perked up.

The Ceremony
Finally, after three full weeks of planning, the big day was underway.
Becky had to make her way through the maze, to be greeted at every turn by something different.
Mr Bean jumping out of a dustbin probably wasn’t on her agenda, but why not!

After all the hoo-ha, the couple were reunited after nearly a month apart.
They exchanged vows and Becky looked over the moon.

Somehow, Lee managed to pull this one off.
There were some really hairy moments in this episode of Don’t Tell the Bride but as always, love conquers all.

Until later that is…
