Noel Fielding's haircut makes him almost unrecognisable - Great British Bake Off!

At last. At long, long last, Great British Bake Off is back!

Our rainy summer blues will now dissipate and be replaced by the annual GBBO fever.

With the new season comes 12 new bakers – all eager to impress Paul and co with their baking creations. The judges remain the same, however. Well, mostly.

While Prue still sports colourful attires and big necklaces and Paul’s icy blue eyes still remind us of the Night King from Game of Thrones, there is something about Noel Fielding that has changed.

His haircut.

What is Noel Fielding’s New Haircut?

Drastic, that’s one word for it.

He’s gone for a shorter trim, with his new hair not passing his shoulders like it used to.

In an interesting choice, Noel’s decision to pair this with mutton chops makes him look a Victorian-era werewolf. Or Sweeney Todd. Or the bad guy in a Tim Burton movie. You pick.

What Did His Hair Use to Look Like?

Noel’s hair was part of his signature look. The gothic attire was always completed by his shoulder-length black hair.

However, since joining Great British Bake Off, Noel has brightened up his look somewhat with a series of loud shirts. Perhaps this new hair is an effort to continue that brightening up?

Is the New Haircut Better or Worse?

We suppose that depends on your personal preference, but we are already missing Noel’s iconic long hair. We may need some time to get used to the mutton chops and short locks.

Is He Still Wearing Wacky Shirts?

Of course! Noel’s noisy shirts were a constant talking point during last year’s series of GBBO. And he’s already whacked out another busy shirt for the start of this season. We are loving them.
