For the spin-off Bake Off: The Professionals, they could not just saddle the professional bakers in the (now iconic) Bakers Tent.

No, they upgraded the venue for the professionals!

Where is Bake Off: The Professionals filmed?

The second series – when it was on BBC and known as ‘Bake Off: Creme de la Creme’ – was filmed at Firle Place in East Sussex, near Lewes.

But since the move to Channel 4, they have hosted the professional spin-off in the same location.

This country Manor has been passed down through the Viscounts Gages since the 15th century!

Inside the Manor!

Whilst the outer was designed to replicate a French Chateau, the insides of the Manor are all original Tudor.

And it’s not just the design that is spectacular, as the furnishings and art collections are all to be dreamt of!

The Manor has a large collection of works including some of the most influential artists over the past centuries such as Gainsborough, Raphael and Van Dyck.

Where do I recognise the location?

Firle House has become a popular location choice in the TV world!

Other than Bake Off, it has also been used in BBC’s Jonathan Creek and in the 2006 mini-series The Line of Beauty.

The barn is often used as a wedding venue or for private events and we assume this is the space where the team behind Bake Off have constructed the pop-up Bake Off: The Professionals kitchen.
