- When does Love Island season 5 start?
Joe versus Green Motion
In episode 5 Joe looks into an infamous car hire company called Green Motion.
The company has gained multiple negative reviews with dissatisfied customers all over the world.
Joe sent ‘Arthur’, one of his undercover team members, to work as a ‘meet and greet rep’ at Green Motion’s Heathrow office.
While undercover Arthur gained all the information needed including the fact that the staff aim to confuse customers into taking out insurance policies.
Joe was so impressed he even went to the lengths of getting the team mantra of one green motion Heathrow rep printed on a tea towel.
Later in the episode, Joe rented a car from Green Motion and hilariously pretended that he had gotten into an accident and attempted to return a pile of scrap metal in place of the car.
The Green Motion staff were absolutely fuming and told him that the car wasn’t covered under the fully comprehensive insurance plan with one of the staff members commenting: “It might be a write off”.
Joe Lycett: Email scammers
Episode 5 also saw Joe shed some light on e-mail scammers.
The comedian took on the challenge of communicating with an online scammer and set up a fake account in the name of DIY SOS host Nick Knowles.
The scammer, who went by the name of Yussif, asked for Joe’s passport, address and phone number.
Joe went along with the scammer’s messages and sent over an image of a false young person’s railcard.
He then created another false email address under the name of Nick Knowles’ fake wife ‘Linda Bin’.
Yussif continued to communicate with Linda Bin and asked her to pay ‘clearing fees’ of 1210 euros.
Though the e-mails were hilarious, Joe warned that this is an advance fee scam, where scammers promise big money if you hand over a smaller fee upfront.
The conversation turned to Linda suggesting that she and Yussif run away together, and although possibly flattered, at this point he chose not to reply.
