SAS: Who Dares Wins 2019 has just two remaining episodes, with the final set to commence next Sunday (February 10th).
First, however, there is the small matter of crossing an icy 200-metre gorge and frozen lake.
For Vicki, who is afraid for water, episode 5 proves one of her biggest challenges in life.

Who is Vicki? – Recruit 17
Recruit 17 is 40-year-old Vicki Anstey.
She is a fitness instructor from London and owner of Barre Studio, a boutique barre and ballet studio in Richmond, South East London.
Vicki launched the studio in 2010 after leaving her career in advertising. During her personal and professional fitness journey, she lost five stone – and basically turned into a beast!
Speaking to Channel 4, Vicki explained that she became incredibly motivated to push herself after entering a divorce eight months ago.
She even got a tattoo with her recruit number after the show had finished – her first ever tat!
Why is Vicki Afraid of Water?
To put it lightly, Vick is terrified of water.
As a child, she and her sister were rescued from a lake by their dad.
In a blind panic, the young children unintentionally pushed each other underwater while they gasped for air on the surface.
Vick said that the experience stayed with her forever and that she avoids swimming or being in water as much as possible.
What Else do We Know?
Along with strength and fitness conditioning from ballet, Vick is also a firm believer in the kettlebell.

Keep your standards high and your kettlebells higher… Kettlebells are such a versatile piece of kit. And where my weight training began. I still go back to them for the perfect combination of CV and strength training when I’m pushed for time and want a simple workout. This was RIchmond Park early this morning and it looked SAVAGE ❄️🍁🍂 Wrap up in layers and a hat and throw a bit of metal around, you’ll be warm in minutes. #centralheatingforyourbody #strengthtraining #weightsbeforedates #kettlebellwarrior #richmondpark
