In an emotional Celebrity SAS episode 3, Ant Middleton hit Wayne bridge hard in the interrogation room, probing him with “you’ve put your trust in people before and they’ve let you down massively”.
Wayne Bridge’s personal troubles are no secret after his former partner, Vanessa Perroncel, had an affair with former football teammate John Terry.

“Apart from the obvious”
Ant opened his interrogation by asking Wayne if he had ever been betrayed while adding “apart from the f*cking obvious”.
The TV presenter and host of the show was referring to John Terry’s reported affair with Wayne’s girlfriend in 2010 as he hoped to get to the bottom of why Wayne lacked confidence.
The Daily Mail reported that Wayne’s French model girlfriend, Vanessa Perroncel, had an affair with John Terry following Wayne’s transfer of clubs from Chelsea to Manchester City around 2008.
The two professional football players were teammates at Chelsea and both played for England’s international side, although John Terry was stripped off his captaincy over the allegations.
In 2010, there was a huge moment in the footballing world where Wayne refused to shake his counterpart’s hand before a game.
Wayne Bridge’s ‘money troubles’
During the same interrogation in Celebrity SAS episode 3, a teary-eyed Wayne also opened up about issues with money.
The 38-year-old explained that he was naive in who he trusted as a youngster, hinting that sums of money were taken from him unfairly or without him realising.

What else do we know about ‘Wayne’s money problem’?
Wayne has never previously gone on record about money problems.
It’s not uncommon for professionals to go bankrupt following retirement. However, this isn’t thought to be the case with Wayne, with NetWorth giving him a net value of £9 million following a stint in I’m a Celebrity… and marriage to The Saturdays star Frankie in 2014.
There are various and complicated agents, sponsorship and ownership deals involved in football.
It seems likely that Wayne is referring to strings of deals across his professional career where percentages of what he earned were filtered out to agents and others involved in his career.
He was reportedly on £90,000 at one stage in his career while at Manchester City, although this isn’t a reflection of how much he would have truly pocketed.
