Earlier in the year, it was reported that Channel 4 were struggling to find celebrities to volunteer for their very first Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins series – it didn’t come as a surprise!
The gruelling C4 series has seen even the toughest of personal trainers, boxers and hard-men alike disintegrate under the weight of extreme physical tasks.
And, as for the mental challenges, no-one ever survives.
Nonetheless, eleven brave celebs have chucked their names into the ring for a special celebrity version of SAS: Who Dares Wins – here’s everything you need to know!

What is Celebrity SAS?
The Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins season is a direct spin-off of the original series, with 11 celebs tasked with surviving a SAS-styled boot camp for seven straight days.
SAS: Who Dares Wins has never had set rules, with instructors Jason Fox and Ant Middleton given the free choice of deciding what challenges and tasks the contestants take part in.
It’s expected that the celebs will get a bit of an easier ride, although neither Ant or Jason come across as the most lenient of guys.
Instructor Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox said:
There’s been no allowance made for fame or status, the celebrities have had to push themselves to the limit and reveal themselves like never before.

We’ve learnt about each Celebrity’s strengths and weaknesses, hopes and fears, and come to an understanding of who they really are.
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins – Start Date
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins 2019 will launch on Sunday, April 7th.
It will air on Channel 4 at 9 pm.
There are five episodes in the series, meaning it will continue every Sunday night until May 5th.
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins – Cast
The group of celebrities includes celebs from the world of professional sport and those more suited to reality TV.
Sam Thompson is the name that sticks out like a sore thumb!
Sam Thompson – Made in Chelsea
Although Sam Thompson recently revealed a jacked-up body from plenty of hard work in the gym, you can’t help but feel SAS is a stretch beyond the reality TV star.
A soft and puppy-like character on MIC, we’re not sure how he will cope when Ant Middleton screams obscenities in his face.
Wayne Bridge – Former professional footballer
Wayne is a former Premier League football player and England international, running out for the likes of Southampton and Chelsea.
He’s also married to Frankie from UK girl-group The Saturdays.
Physically, Wayne could excel.

Victoria Pendleton – Olympic Gold Medallist
Thirty-eight-year-old Victoria Pendleton is a former British jockey and Olympic gold medal-winning cyclist.
It’s no question that she will carry the legs to keep hurtling over the final hurdles, but has she got the mental toughness when it comes to interrogation?
Andrea McClean – Loose Women
The Scottish TV personality who co-hosts Loose Women is certainly a surprise candidate.
Nonetheless, she’s not there to make up the numbers and could prove the dark horse of the series.

Ben Foden – England Rugby International
England international rugby player Ben Foden is considered an early favourite, and he’d probably back himself too.
Similar to the leaders Ant and Jason in size and masculinity, perhaps Ben’s downfall will be his mental strength having recently come out of a divorce with wife Una Healy.

Heather Fisher – England Rugby player
Heather is another England international rugby player and will add plenty of steel to the team.
You’d want her on your side for the physical challenges!

Camilla Thurlow – Love Island
At first glance, Camilla Thurlow looks like an odd choice for the punishing Channel 4 series.
However, that’s because you’re forgetting her life before Love Island.
Although Camz found fame in the villa during series 3, she was a bomb disposal expect for several years prior.
There’s no doubt that she’s got the grit and determination to succeed and we’re sure her kind-hearted presence will help keep the team morale at a high.

AJ Odudu – TV presenter
You’ll recognise AJ from her appearances on Channel 4 and 4music as a TV presenter.
She’s also popped up backstage on The Voice and could provide a huge lift to camp morale with her bubbly personality and energetic soul.

Jeremy Irvine – Actor
AJ is famous for his roles on War Horse and Mama Mia.
Something of a stereotypical pretty-boy actor, it’s a case of hats-off to the 28-year-old for putting himself forward the brutal beastings of Jason Fox and Ant Middleton.

Louise Mensch – MP
The 47-year-old blogger and MP is the most obscure inclusion with little experience in both the reality TV world and the gruelling fitness side of things.
Wait and see…
Jeff Brazier – Broadcaster
Jeff is another surprise candidate for the TV series and earned his stripes through gigs such as presenting the showbiz section on ITV’s This Morning.
Now 39, the fresh-faced lifestyle coach could be a surprise package with a previous football career under his belt and a lifestyle centred around health and fitness.
