Just one episode into SAS: Who Dares Wins 2019 and a fan favourite has emerged.
The brutal reality TV series follows 25 recruits in their attempts to survive a savage 10-day military camp, lead by the merciless Ant Middleton.
Three recruits dropped out by the end of episode 1 yet there was one contestant who never backed down, despite clearly struggling with the extreme altitude conditions.

Who is Nadine Harkness?
Nadine is a 34-year-old aviation firefighter from Scotland. She is also single.
Her role involves fighting fires in aircraft and airport buildings along with providing first aid services.
Nadine explained to Channel 4 why she had chosen to take part in the series:
I always seek adventure. Whenever I feel stressed out, I look for a distraction. It doesn’t mean climbing mountains or diving to the deepest depths. A distraction is me putting myself through a new challenge and seeing how strong I come out at the end of it.
What Else do we Know?
Despite getting up as early as 5 am, with a 12-hour shift and an hour of travel each way, Nadine finds the time to run her own project for war veterans.
Her company, Project RV (projectrv.co.uk), is a non-profit association that supports British Elite Forces veterans through organised recreational events.
She was also a senior instructor at the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, giving her plenty of experience in hiking and survival skills.
Nadine’s Who Dares Wins Journey
Nadine felt the full wrath of chief instructor Ant Middleton during SAS: Who Dares Wins episode 1.
She and a selection of recruits didn’t change out of their wet clothes ahead of a task, leaving a furious Ant to vent his anger directly in Nadine’s face.
By the end of episode 1, Nadine was at breaking point.
She collapsed during the mountain trek as Ant hammered down with more uninspiring abuse.
Fortunately, despite the mental barrage she suffered, Nadine pushed through to the end of the stage.
She later confessed to the on-site medical doctor that she was considering quitting due to the difficulty she had found in breathing while at altitude.
And if that wasn’t enough, Billy and Ollie called Nadine in for interrogation, pushing her mental strength to the very edge.
The interrogators asked: “What’s your motivation to be here?”. To which a tearful Nadine responded:
I’ve gone through some heavy sh*t in the past and it sort of pulled me down. I entered the fire service, I was 23. A male figure, a very important male figure in my life, someone that was meant to be regarded as – you know, if an army of men came towards me he would protect me.
His family said that I was a liar and I had been flirting with him… that I lead him on. I ended up all over the place.
Nadine bowed out of the interrogation underlining why she was so keen to impress the instructors.
Leaving fans moved by her grit and determination, too.
