Channel 4 is host to a long night of comedy brilliance and celebrity appearances as their Stand Up to Cancer fundraising event kick-starts tonight (Friday, October 26th).

The star-studded evening will begin at 7 pm, lasting five and a half hours as the long list of spin-off shows and special sketches spills into Saturday morning.

To help strategize the best time for a tea break, here are five things you need to watch from Stand Up to Cancer on Channel 4.

7.30 pm – The Muppets and Jack Whitehall

What better way to kick start events than the combination of The Muppets and comedian Jack Whitehall?

Airing from around 7.30 pm, the British stand-up comedian will meet Miss Piggy in the first laugh out loud sketch of Stand Up to Cancer 2018.

There’s also a live performance from singer Tom Odell during this segment.

8.30 pm – Carpool Karaoke

Perhaps the most highly-anticipated part of tonight’s action is the famous Carpool Karaoke with James Corden.

Michael Bublé buckles up alongside James for a world exclusive version of The Late Night Show singing segment.

Keep your eye out for other special guests, though, as well as performances from John Legend and Little Mix.

9 pm – Celebrity Gogglebox!

The prime-time slot is saved for U.K favourite, Gogglebox.

However, this time, the sofas will be full of famous faces.

Love Island series 3 star Dani Dyer and dad Danny will lead the episode, although viewers are equally excited about seeing former One Direction band members Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne on the show.

Professional footballer Peter Crouch and wife Abbey Clancy also take up a seat on the sofas while England World Cup aces Eric Dier and Dele Alli will add plenty of humour.

11 pm – Aretha Franklin Tribute

Prior to the 11 pm Aretha Franklin Tribue (around 10.30 pm) is an intriguing sketch created by Boy George, Greg Davies, Peter Capaldi and Matthew McConaughey. What a combo!

A touching tribute to Aretha will then follow, with Emeli Sandé heading the musical performance.

SIDE NOTE: Tom Hardy’s gorgeous face appears during this segment!

00:00 Late Night Comedy Countdown

You may need to swap the tea for coffee by this point but staying up late will definitely be worth it.

The comedy will reach its peak between 11pm-12am as comedians Adam Hills, Alan Carr and Jack Whitehall team-up with Big Narstie and Mo Gilligan to countdown towards the end of the fundraising event.
