By the time episode 6 came around, there were already a few shock exits.
Episode five proved a heart-wrenching ordeal for many viewers as beloved twirly-moustache-man Terry was booted out by Paul Hollywood alongside Karen Wright.
Dan Beasley-Harding and Hawaiin shirt-wearing Jon Jenkins were the next two to go as Pastry and Vegan Week concluded with five remaining contestants.
By this stage, Kim Joy had caught up with Rahul with two Star Baker awards as the pair looked certain to battle it out in the final
The Final Three
The remaining episodes bid goodbye to grade A pupils Manon Lagreve and Briony Williams, who left in the semi-final.
Favourites from the off Rahul and Kim Joy are now into the grand final although they face stiff competition from Ruby, who is the ‘in form’ baker with two consecutive Star Baker awards heading into the final.

Who Won GBBO 2018?
The three remaining amateur bakers faced an exhausting series of tasks, starting with the preparation and decoration of a few flawless doughnuts.
It all lead up to the landscape showstopper, however, where they created an intricate, multi-layered, edible landscape design.
In the end, it was Rahul Mandal who claimed the crown, as the 30-year-old broke the cycle of four straight female victors dating back to 2014.
