Roxanne Pallett was a familiar face for fans of Emmerdale but following her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, she has become infamous for falsely accusing housemate Ryan Thomas of punching her.
The 35-year-old actress was one of the most recognisable faces in the ITV soap, playing Jo Sugden from 2005-2008.

Roxanne Got Engaged After One Week!
Roxanne announced her engagement to Lee Walton just a week before Celebrity Big Brother 2018 started.
Not to mention, they’d only been dating for a week!
She met her steel-worker boyfriend in a pub before saying ‘yes’ to his proposal, little over seven days after their first date.
Roxanne said to OK! Magazine: We were engaged within a week of meeting. I know it sounds crazy, but I knew my heart.”
She Played a Teenager at 29!
If Roxanne could tell us the secret to eternal youth, that’d be great.
Following her stint in Emmerdale, Roxanne later joined the cast of BBC series Waterloo Road.
Here, she played a 17-year-old student despite aged 29 herself!

Roxanne Was Involved in a Serious Car Crash
More recently, Roxanne was involved in a serious car crash, where she was lucky to be alive.
Roxanne crashed a stock car into a concrete wall at Hunmanby Raceway. It took firefighters took two hours to cut her from the wreckage, before she was airlifted to hospital.
Thankfully, Roxanne only suffered a concussion.
She Deleted her Instagram!
After Celebrity Big Brother, Roxanne went ahead and deleted all of her social media accounts to stay out of the media spotlight.
While she appeared in both Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls and Celebrity Coach Trip, both of these series were filmed before CBB.

Minster FM was home to the voice of Roxanne Pallett, which broadcasts in York and North Yorkshire area.
Her official title was radio breakfast host.
However, after her shocking CBB controversy, she left the role.
Roxanne Quit Acting Because of Body-shaming
It’s baffling to think, but Roxanne said that her move towards radio was due the way she was treated in the world of film and TV.
She claims that she was told to “lose weight” and “get botox” if she wanted to land more acting roles.
Roxanne told The Star on Sunday: I wasn’t prepared to do that. I don’t feel appreciated as an actress so I am quitting the industry.”
