Kirstie Alley opened up about her incredible weight loss journey during day five of Celebrity Big Brother.

The 67-year-old faced major health concerns over the course of her acting career, losing and gaining up to five stone (31kg) at a time.

Kirstie Alley Weight Gain

Kirstie’s weight had always yo-yoed throughout her career. Most famously, however, it was in 2008 where she weighed around 16 stone (100kg).

The 5ft8 actor told People Magazine: It said (the scales) 228 lbs, which is my highest weight ever. I was so much more disgusting than I thought.”

Previously, Kirstie had trimmed off five stone of this weight (31kg) and was at her healthiest weight

This was in 2007 when she had been working with nutrition company Jenny Craig as a spokeswoman.

Kirstie explained to her Celebrity Big Brother housemates: I decided I’m going to write a show called Fat Actress. And I’m going to get an account with a weight loss company – and I did, Jenny Craig.”

Kirstie Alley Weight Loss (Again)

Things had to change, and Kirstie knew exactly what to do.

In 2014, she dropped an impressive three and a half stone (22 kg) and has managed to stay on this positive health path, right up to entering the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Kirstie achieved her goals with a balanced diet and maintaining active, although this doesn’t necessarily mean hitting the gym.

Kirstie said: I do stay active, but I hate the gym. It bores the bejeezus out of me. I’m not a lunging, squatting human, I’ll do things that sound fun like a dance class or yoga, or I’ll walk or run. Sometimes it’s just whatever my friends are doing.”

Kirstie Alley Weight Loss Diet

Kirstie revealed to her Celebrity Big Brother housemates that it is keeping the weight off for longer than four years that is her problem, and not the initial weight loss.

According to several online health websites, Kirstie’s diet weight loss diet is based around high energy yet low-calorie foods.

This means meals such as oatmeal with chia seeds and fresh fruit, which contains 400 calories, but will keep you full for hours and hours.

Other staples of her diet contain foods that are high in fibre, such as berries, apples and wholegrain bread.
