Fans of Seven Year Switch felt pretty damn uncomfortable having met the show’s self-confessed chauvinistic character, George, in episode one.
Now, following a series of outrageous comments and after refusing to help his partner do the ironing, Seven Year Switch fans have said enough is enough.
What comes next, isn’t pretty.
I hope Michelle leaves George and then Channel 4 do a series on George living alone in a pig sty with his creased shirts and takeaway boxes because he refuses to clean, iron and cook #SevenYearSwitch

Everything George was saying about men and women in a relationship is exactly what is wrong with so many men. There’s no place for that in the modern world we live in #SevenYearSwitch

The Channel 4 series follows married couples in extreme relationship trouble, as they head to Ko Samui, Thailand, for a luxurious two-week break.
However, the husband spends time with another wife (also facing relationship problems) and the wife plays vice verse.
We met George in episode one, described by wife Michelle as proudly “old fashioned” with strong views on what women “should” and “shouldn’t do”.

George’s wife admitted that her husband’s views were causing strains on the relationship and that she was hoping his time spent with another woman would help put the responsibilities she takes on into perspective.
Cue a massive pile of ironing.
Yeah, let’s see how that sits with G-man.
Ironing! He needs straightening out…#sevenyearswitch

George had the audacity to unpack his clothes, briefly stare at them, before proceeding to ask the women standing in his wife’s shoes, and who he had only met the day before, whether she would do his ironing.
Yeah, sure Rachel would love that, mate!

New partner Rachel even offered to teach George how to iron, although he rudely snubbed at the idea – you know, as if it’s not a skill that every human beyond the age of 12 should possess.

Things got worse for George in the following revelation videos, where his wife spoke of George’s “aggressive” nature and offensive insults.

George tried to defend his actions saying that he only tries to “encourage” and “push people in a positive way”, although Twitter showed little remorse for George.

If I spoke to my wife like George speaks to his I'd be a dead man. If my sisters husbands spoke to them like George they would be dead too #sevenyearswitch

The show climaxed with Michelle fuming at George’s own revelations video, with George spending the few minutes he had to shovel the blame onto his wife’s shoulders, saying that he “doesn’t get to make the most out of his free time” because of his wife.
