YouTube may not be the most obvious place to search for Christmas movies but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some hidden gems tucked beneath all the cat videos and wannabe vloggers.

While Sky and Netflix are the go-to places for Christmas flicks, not even they have the likes of Home Alone or The Grinch.

Here are five full Christmas movies on YouTube which you can watch for free right now. They’re all good quality, have zero dodgy pop-ups, and range from old-school classics to modern releases.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (4.4 stars)

Ranked by many as one of the best Christmas comedies ever released, the fact you can watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation for free is an absolute steal.

The story follows the famous Griswold family as disaster after disaster wrecks their ‘cute and homely’ Christmas.

It’s a holiday to remember, but for all the wrong reasons.

Home Alone 2 (4.3 stars)

Stop searching for the original Home Alone movie. Honestly, you’re not going to find it on YouTube – they’re all fake videos with links!

Even finding a good quality copy of Home Alone 2 is a serious struggle. Nevertheless, we’ve done it.

This version of the Macaulay Culkin movie is in beautiful 720p, although you’ll have to watch it in 3-minute segments.

Depends how much you love Home Alone!

A Nightmare Before Christmas (4.2 stars)

Again, just like Home Alone, this movie is split up into small three-minute segments.

However, the 1993 Tim Burton cartoon is one of realitytitbit’s favourite Christmas films so we definitely think it’s worth it.

So long as you have a decent internet connection, the sections should smoothly run onto one other. They may seem a bit jumpy but the story still sticks, and it’s only a 60-minute watch!

Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town (4 stars)

We highly recommend watching Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town simply because you won’t find it anywhere else.

Made in 1970, the story follows a mailman as he reveals the true origin of Santa Claus.

With a 7.8/10 rating on IMDB and over 4 million views on YouTube, it’s an old school classic.

BONUS: The Snowman (5 stars)

We’re chucking The Snowmas in there as a sort of bonus Christmas movie because it’s only 25 minutes long.

Nonetheless, the 1982 classic is arguably the most iconic Christmas film in history.

And it’s available in HD on YouTube!
