Justin, Irini, Yui and Josh cooked their way to the quarter-finals of Masterchef 2019 after progressing from episode two.

However, it was Yui who really caught the eye in the episode, with judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace labelling her dishes a “knockout”.

We tracked down Yui on Instagram and found out that she already has recipes in Sainsbury’s.

Who is Masterchef 2019’s Yui?

Yui goes by the full name of Yui Miles.

She comes from a Thai family and specialises in Thai and Chinese cuisine.

On her website, foodfromtheheart.com, Yui explains that she moved to the UK in 2001 when she married.

Yui also posts a lot of her food and recipes on Instagram. You can follow her under @yui_foodfromtheheart.

Here, you’ll find a lot of Yui’s homemade and Asian-inspired recipes, including dumplings, yakisoba and kimchi dishes.

Yui’s Sainsbury Recipe and Masterchef Rules

The Masterchef entry rules state that the competition is only for amateur chefs.

This means that contestants must not have served as a paid chef at any point in their career.

Yui has never been paid for cooking expertise.

However, one of her delicious recipes was picked up by Sainsbury’s and can be seen online in the Sainsbury’s recipe section.

Her dish is called Chinese-style pigs in blankets and we really hope to see the dish on Masterchef 2019.

You can do it yourself from home by following the free online recipe here.
