ITV Hub live options explained

ITV Hub is an online video on demand service accessible through the main ITV website,

The service offers a variety of programmes able to be streamed live or later on.

As previously mentioned, Love Island 2021 will stream on ITV2.

Can’t make the live TV showing? Not to worry, all episodes will also be available on the ITV Hub to catch up after the show.

ITV Hub shared an important reminder on Twitter, encouraging users to sign in with a verified email address to prevent disruption.

ITV Hub described the platform with the ability to use the website, mobile app and some connected TV apps to stream ITV, ITV2, ITVBe, ITV3, ITV4 and CITV so you can watch live wherever you are!

To watch live on iOS and Android devices, go to the ‘Live TV’ section on the app and swipe the screen to scroll through the channels.

However, ITV Hub also admitted that sometimes a show will only have television rights and not online rights. In this case, you will receive a message saying the programme is unavailable.

What’s the catch? You will, however, need a TV license in order to watch live TV on this streaming platform.

But don’t worry, you won’t need a license to stream catch-up TV!

How often is the summer show on?

Love Island will air every evening apart from Saturdays.

The first episode is set to be 95 minutes long while the remaining instalments will be an hour each.

Although Love Island’s previous series have aired onscreen for up to eight weeks, it is reportedly unclear how long this year’s season will last for.

The coronavirus pandemic could unfortunately bring the show to a premature ending.

However, ITV previously told back in June 2020: “Love Island UK will return bigger and better than ever with an extended run in summer 2021.”

Wondering what to watch when there’s no brand new Love Island episodes?

Fortunately, ITV Hub contains all previous six seasons of the summer show, available for signed-up users to watch whenever!
