Despite Celebs Go Dating star Sam Thompson picking Emilia over Tammy in the series finale, it was ditched date Tammy who proved the real hero with her powerful speech.
Sam had put himself in a horrendously awkward position during the grand finale in Cape Verde.
All clients of the celebrity dating agency were supposed to bring the one date with them for a romantic vacation in Western Africa, although Made In Chelsea star Sam decided to bring two.
Talk about having your cake and eating it.
Sammy delayed his decision and took both Tammy and Emilia out on separate dates, kissing them both and not only adding tension to the situation but hatred to his name on social media.

On the final episode of the series (Friday 2, March 2018) and Sam finally found the cojones to make a decision, telling the dating agents that Emilia was the girl he wanted to bring on the final party.
From this moment viewers were left sweating in suspense, not because they wanted to see Sam and Emilia walk through the complex holding hands, but because everyone was wondering how the f*ck Sam was going to dump Tammy without completely breaking her heart.
Fortunately, as Sam set off to tell Tammy that he was ditching her, the 20-year-old dancer didn’t give the two-timing celeb an inch and led the conversation by saying:
“I don’t think I should have seen you last night and definitely don’t think I should have kissed you.”
Tammy confessed that she shouldn’t have forgiven Sam and gained volumes of respect from social media for her mature outlook of the dating dilemma, saving Sam the hardship of ditching her by calling things off in her own right.
Samy ended with an apology, adding that he “had learned a lesson”, while Twitter roared with “good on Tammy”.
We didn’t see the brunette for the remainder of the show as Sam and Emilia rocked up to the final party together, Sam exclaiming “I kind of just want to date you”.
Hopefully, however, Tammy continued to have access to the mini bar and wasn’t just sent back on the next plane home without fully enjoying Cape Verde.
