Fans of First Dates were so caught up with the romantic daters that they overlooked the most potent chemistry of all the couples on the show.
Regular First Dates waiter Austin has been taking newbie Grant under his wing, with the two sparking a seriously tight friendship during episode four.
These two mucking around together is super adorable…
Clash of the Slang
Grant and Austin stood around pretending to polish wine glasses when really they were checking out the feast of girls as they passed through the restaurant doors.
Jaw to the floor, Austin had to remind his pal that he wasn’t in Yorkshire anymore…

Grant picked up on Austin’s use of “sorts”, taking it one step further with his own unique Yorkshire slang.
The Londoner literally had no idea what Grant was talking about…

True Friends
Only true friends attempt to stitch one-other up at work.
Here is Austin muttering his disapproval at having to sweep the floor, believing it should be the duty of someone else.
Watch your back, Fred…

Wahey
Obviously, in every U.K restaurant, it is standard procedure to shout “wahey” when someone drops a plate or glass.
But, when newbie Grant had his tray sent clattering down to the floor, even bezzie-b Austin got involved in the mockery.
Everyone else helped while Austin laughed at his mate, adding “let’s give him a clap”.

Perfect Service
The only other time we caught the dynamic duo crossing paths in episode four was when brushing past one-other in the middle of the restaurant.
But, even here they couldn’t help but give each other a high five.
God damn, they’re cool…
