Episode seven of First Dates gave us Kit – a man who hasn’t been on a date in 37 years.
The heart-broken 60-year-old opened up about the tragedy of his last relationship, which had kept him out of the dating scene for more than three decades.
Let’s hope Kit can find love again…
Kilted Kit
We were first introduced to Kit as he confidently cat-walked up to the First Dates restaurant in a kilt.
Of course, this sparked nothing but rumours from staff members Grant, CiCi and Laura – and even restaurant manager Fred Sirieix!
How immature, eh…

The upmarket butler, who once spent an entire day training to open a front door correctly, was paired with 56-year-old Andrew.
Charity worker Andrew announced to the camera that he had met the Queen, Princess Diana, and even shared a cuppa with Prince Charles.
Fortunately, the pair were both “Royal family enthusiasts” and immediately clicked over droning chat about the opera ‘n’ stuff.

Andrew’s Troubled Childhood
The pair continued their conversation about musical tastes, although Andrew stuttered when attempting to explain that he forgot how to play the violin.
Andrew went on to elaborate that he suffered a “fractured skull” when he was a child, opening up about a shockingly troubled childhood with a violent father.

37 Years to Move On
With the loved-up duo taking their date outside, Kit admitted that this was the first time he had ever been on a date.
His last boyfriend came 37 years ago, although their relationship was tragically cut short due to terminal illness.

Kit still remembers the day he fell head over heels for Gordan, revealing how their romance unfolded 43 years ago.
He still treasures every small detail…

Opening up about why he has bottled himself away from other relationship since the death of his loved-one, it was clear that the pain of Gordan passing away was simply too much.

A New Friendship
Andrew and Kit confessed to loving every moment of each others company although a future romance wasn’t on the cards this time around.
Parting with a good old-fashioned handshake, it looked as if Kit’s love life was still on hold, although a blossoming friendship had set sail.
