Fans of First Dates were gifted with the perfect end to series 10 as Richard and Jess blew away audiences with their romantic entwinement.

The date hit cuteness overload in the final few minutes as Richard presented his date with a hand-written letter from one of his primary school students.

Rich had promised his 10-year-old student that he would hand out her letter, and the act resulted in floods of tears on Twitter.

Richard’s date was identical to the woman he had described to having a soft spot for during his opening piece to camera.

Meet pocket-rocket Jess, a women’s criminal justice lawyer from Harrogate and an all-around smiley stunner.

Settling down for dinner, the pair breezed past opening nerves with infectious smiles.

A Funny Little Chicken

Richard looked as if he was rapidly moving past heartbreak from his previous relationship as he described date Jess as a “15 out of 10” and “out of this world” while chatting with waitress CiCi Coleman.

Jess progressively came out of her shell as the date continued, telling Richard about her 10-week break from work where she completed a long list of things she wanted to achieve in life.

The date concluded as Richard whipped out his killer move, explaining to Jess that one of his students had given him a letter to give to his date.

Richard couldn’t let his student down.

The letter read: Dear Lucky Lady, I am one of the students in Mr Ball’s class, so I know him very well. But I think he needs some help from us.

Of course, the pair agreed to see each other again and even became official boyfriend and girlfriend following eight months of dating.
