Fans of First Dates were in love with episode five daters Jayne and Stuart.

A far cry from your usual reality stars, like pumped-up personal trainers from Survival Of The Fittest, Jayne and Stuart were both incredibly down-to-earth.

Making their livings by pursuing the things that they cherish most in life, this is how Jayne earned the nickname ‘Dr Dolittle’ and why ‘Big Stu’ considers himself a bit of a clown.

‘Dr Dolittle’ Jayne

Simply put, Jayne describes her job as “talking to animals”.

The 41-year-old from Newcastle is a holistic therapist for dogs and general animal communicator.

Basically Dr Dolittle.

Judged by her blue hair and unusual job position, Jayne had been constantly written-off from love due to the stereotype that she is a “hippie, vegan, live-in-a-tent” type.

Dolittle actually lived in the fictional English village of Puddleby-on-the-Marsh.

Just saying.

Jayne’s obscure list of professions include reiki master, seichem (energy healing person), shamanic drumming master and organiser of laughter groups, yet that didn’t stop Stu from taking an instant shine to her.

A Time to Clown Around

Stu was all laughs and jokes as he confessed to having the best job in the world, a kids’ entertainer that goes by the name of ‘Stu-di-do’.

However, Stu went on to explain that his mum passed away in a traffic car accident when he was only 10 years old.

With a normal childhood suddenly zapped from his life, Stu’s dad said that his son became a kids’ entertainer because he missed out on the fun as a child.

Now, Stuart’s part clown, part magician, part legend…

The pair ended up rambling into a typically bad joke-off, sharing the type of one-liners you’d expect to find in a Christmas cracker.

Happy Ending

Twitter was in awe of the fun-loving couple and hearts melted when we found that they continued to date long after First Dates had ended.
