Love Island 2018 may have only been rolling for two weeks but a favourite male has already emerged – Dr Alex George.
The sweet, shy and personable A&E doctor has drawn plenty of similarities to series three cutie Camilla Thurlow.
Here are 7 reasons why Dr Alex is the new Camilla…
1. Alex is Quiet and Reserved
Just like Camilla, Alex is the quiet, shy and reserved character of the series.
He hasn’t had an argument with any of the other villa housemates and it doesn’t look like they are going to stop loving him any time soon.

2. He is The Most Relatable
While other contestants include the daughter of Danny Dyer and a selection of models, Alex is much more like your everyday fella.
Even Camilla entered the house in 2017 as an explosive ordnance disposal… which is even more dramatic than A&E worker Alex.

3. Alex is Loved by The General Public
Along with Jamie Jewitt, Camilla came second during series three.
If Alex can find himself a girlfriend then you can expect him to make a strong favourite to reach the final.
The general public is seriously rooting for Alex, although the favourites to win the ITV2 series is Jack Fincham and Dani Mas Dyer.
4. He Has The Support of The Villa
It’s not just the fans who are rooting for Alex, with villa buddies Adam Collard and Charlie Frederick trying to push Alex’s relationship with Megan Barton-Hanson.
Samira Mighty is another big fan of Dr Alex (obviously in a friend way) and we can see the group rallying to Alex’s cause should any Bombshells try and cause a stir – remember Theo Campbell?

5. Alex Has The Purest Morals
Camilla will be remembered for her lectures to other Love Island contestants, educating them on politics and feminism.
Alex isn’t so different, especially after his reaction to finding out that Megan was once a stripper.
Alex said: I’ve got to be completely honest, I think it’s fantastic that Megan had the confidence to just openly admit that she was a stripper.”

6. He Has The Least Confidence
Exactly like Camilla, Alex is seriously low on confidence. Having been knocked back by each of the females he has approached, Love Island isn’t always a smooth ride to stardom.
Friends such as Jack the Lad have been picking him up with compliments though, and if Alex’s confidence can blossom as strongly as Camilla’s did, then who knows what the final product will be in six weeks time.

7. Alex is a Winner No Matter What
The U.K inherited Camilla as a national treasure once series three came to a close, and even if Alex bows out in the next few days, he will surely be cherished in the same nature.
WATCH Love Island every night on ITV2, at 9 pm.
