Episode 18 of Love Island ended with a shocking clip of Dr Alex as he seethed over Ellie Brown and their so-called relationship.
The well-mannered and placid A&E doctor looked totally out of character as he swore in outrage, slamming Ellie for “not trying” and “being rude” while adding “if she says that, I am going to f*cking explode”.
Love Island fans have always had doubts over Ellie’s romance with Dr Alex, and now it seems those doubts have been confirmed.
Here’s the moment we realised that Ellie is not the one for Dr Alex.
The Dates
During episode 18, the Love Island couples enjoyed romantic dinner dates.
Dani and Jack were busy chatting about the ‘Doin Bits Society’, with Dani adding that Jack is going to have to wait for any sexual activity, mainly because of her dad – Danny Dyer!
Eyal Booker and Megan Barton-Hanson, Laura Anderson and Wes Nelson, Josh Denzel and Georgia Steel, and even Zara McDermott and Adam Collard were all hitting it off in style.
The conversation between Dr Alex and Ellie seemed a little more clinky, however.
Different Wavelengths
Alex needs someone on the same intellectual wavelength, and Ellie failed to deliver as the pair dived into a conversation about work.
El admitted to always aspiring to be a vet, although she was soon put off by the idea.
From here, Ellie bamboozled Alex with her thoughts on what a doctor does.
Drawing unneeded parallels between the role of a vet and a doctor, perhaps this is why the NHS has such a bad name.
Alex only confused his date further as he went on to explain euthanasia, and how he definitely doesn’t put people down for a living but instead spends the bulk of his time trying to save lives.
Alex said, chuckling: No, no that’s euthanasia. You can’t euthanise people, you’ll go to jail.”
Ellie chucked another slice of fruit in her face and smiled gleefully, presumably thinking that euthanasia was actually a name of a club in Ibiza.
Alex, bro, she’s not the one!
