There comes the occasion on Love Island every now and again where we get to see what the Islanders are made of in the kitchen.
Can they woo their potential beau with their culinary skills? For some yes, but for Tommy Fury… most definitely no.
Here is the moment Tommy decided to cook a rather unusual starter which set the internet in a spin about his cooking ability and the other dishes which didn’t make the best impression on Love Island!

Tommy Fury’s sandwich starter
Previously Tommy has made it known that he doesn’t even know how to brew a tea, so a full-on course was inevitably going to be a challenge for the 20-year-old boxer.
But luckily he was assigned the starter, one of the more simple courses.
A simple salad may have sufficed for Tommy’s date Maura Higgins, but he decided to push the boat out and make a rather interesting looking dish.
A mayo, cheese and ketchup sarnie was the result… delicious.
Maura’s response
Bless Maura, as she acknowledged the effort Tommy had taken in preparing the meal. He’d even cut small hearts out of cheese for his date!
She called the effort “romantic”.
We’re not sure how romantic dry bread, condiments and cheese really is and Maura didn’t seem to touch the meal once. But the effort was appreciated!
More Love Island catering flops
Chris Hughes famously was terrible in the kitchen. Not knowing his aubergine from his asparagus, Chris couldn’t handle being in the kitchen and ended up instead on the floor laughing leaving fellow Islander Marcel to finish the job.
But that didn’t stop him from making it to the final, so all may be looking good for Tommy despite the fact people are comparing his cooking to the abysmal catering at the infamous Fyre Festival.
