The new series of Love Island is almost here. This is everything you need to know about the UK’s most popular reality TV show that returns to our screens in 2018.
Last season’s raunchy dating show dominated ratings in the UK – leaving every 16-30 year-old with major Chris and Kim withdrawal symptoms. Sorry, not you Olivia.

The ITV2 summer-hit drew in millions of viewers, with the final crowning Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay 2018 winners in front of a whopping 2.43 million TV audience.
Fans were left heartbroken when the show was over – and even more so now Amber and Kim have broke-up for the fifteenth time – but a new batch of love-hungry contestants are due to ease the pain.
When does Love Island 2018 start?
The thrilling reality show will start in June. Paul Mortimer, Head of Digital Channels & Acquisitions, said:
“At ITV2, we couldn’t be more thrilled with how Love Island fever has gripped the nation.
“Now established as the perfect series to start the summer, we’re delighted to be bringing the show back for our young adult audience in 2018.”
ITV2 have not confirmed the exact start date for series four, but if it follows the same format as last year it could begin on June 4, 2018.
The application form states that contestants must be available for “a minimum of 10 weeks across May 2018”.
This could mean that the show starts as earlier as May, following the same format as 2016. Either way, you may need to start mentally preparing yourself now.

Where is Love Island filmed?
The show is yet to reveal where filming will take place. However, there is a major hint in the application form as contestants “must be able to travel to the EU”.
This could mean a return to Majorca, where the last season was filmed, although we’re sure any sunny destination where the most minuscule bikinis and beach shorts can be worn will do the job.
How do I apply for Love Island 2018?
