Unlike Leaving Neverland – which was co-produced by Channel 4 and HBO – this can be streamed on Netflix.

The eight-part series offers a disturbing look into the case of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance. It is often considered the most widely covered missing person’s case in modern history.

Three-year-old Madeleine vanished from an apartment in Praia da Luz, a holiday resort in the Algarve region of Portugal. This was on May 3rd, 2007.

Since then, the case has been in the media spotlight and attracted broad controversy. She remains missing to this day.

Could it help the case?

So far, audiences and critics have been divided.

The series is compiled of numerous interviews and archive footage. On the whole, the series introduced the audience to numerous theories, some intriguing and some deeply disturbing.

Of course, the case is unsolved. By condensing the case into numerous hours of programming, it paints a picture for those with little knowledge of the case.

However, it’s unlikely to be revelatory.
