Who is James Thornton?
The 44-year-old English actor and voice-over artist, who has been acting sine 1997, is best known for portraying the character of John Barton in the iconic and long-running soap opera ‘Emmerdale’ from 2009 to 2012. After three years of playing the role of Barton, James Thornton decided to leave the soap opera in order to be able to spend more time with his wife, Welsh Actress Joanna Page.
