For its 12th season in ITVBe, the glamorous lives of a group of friends in Cheshire are being showcased all over again. This time, we will get the lowdown on everything that has happened post-lockdown.
Fans have been anticipating Lauren Simon’s return this series, despite going through some tough times over the last few months. We spoke to her about everything that fans want to know: her divorce, losing her father, her dating life and why she left the show previously. Check out what she had to say!
Meet Lauren Simon
Lauren Simon, 44, is a stay-at-home mum who stars on The Real Housewives of Cheshire.
Born and bred in Cheshire, Lauren previously worked in public relations and marketing for VIP events and nightclubs before she became a full-time housewife. Her hobbies include diamond shopping and party planning.
However, her 13-year marriage with property mogul Paul Simon, the father of her two daughters, ended in 2016. She then left the show in 2018 due to “personal reasons” – we reveal more on that below!
Talking about what she’s been up to since she was last on the series, she said:
Unfortunately I lost my dad in the summer, so I’ve been spending a lot of time with my mum relaxing and we had a fabulous holiday in Turkey making the most of life in the sun.

Lauren talks losing her dad and divorce
The RHOCH star has been grieving the loss of her father since he passed. Back in July earlier this year, Lauren and her parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary while on holiday in Spain.
However her dad collapsed while they were out for lunch there and was hospitalized several days later. Lauren announced his death in August and wrote: “Rest in peace daddy! We love you now and forever.”
According to his wife Petula, he died of renal and respiratory failure.
Lauren told Reality Titbit:
After losing my father, I realise life is precious and short so I’m back to my fun, frivolous self where I’m all about the laughter and no more tears.
She also opened up about her father – Alan Goldstone – on the show. Lauren said: “My heart has been broken and I don’t know what to do, I can’t believe he’s gone.
“You know what, he is the rockstar who died on his favourite beach and hopefully we die on our favourite beaches. To Alan.”

Lauren on why she previously left RHOCH
Lauren also opened up about her 5-year divorce battle, which is still ongoing since her previous departure from RHOCH. She said:
I left for personal reasons when going through my divorce which unfortunately is still ongoing and not resolved. The 5-year battle took its toll on me and the courts situation with COVID has not helped end this situation.
The ITV star added that her “love life is on hold for a while”.
She said: “I’m just chilling with my kids, family and close friends until my soul mate knocks on the door.
