How do I apply for Big Brother 2018? When does it start?

If you’re enjoying Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother than you may be tempted into applying for the show yourself.

The classic non-celebrity Big Brother is set for its 19th season in 2018 and you can easily take part.

The hit reality TV show is now taking applications through television company Endemol Shine UK and we would hate for you to miss out.

How do I apply for Big Brother 2018?

To apply, complete the online form on the Big Brother Auditions website here.

All submissions must include two photos and a video of the applicant. The video must demonstrate the “essence” of their personality and explain why they’d make the perfect housemate, but cannot be more than two minutes long, or include any copyrighted music.

The FAQs page says:

“There are no rules about what you should include, but you’ve only got one chance to show us who you are and what you are about – so make it count.”

Some of the most memorable Big Brother audition tapes include Big Brother 16 contestant Frankie J Grande.

Remember: always be yourself, maintain eye contact with camera and act natural. If there is one thing that looks awkward on camera, it’s someone trying too hard.

When does Big Brother 2018 start?

Literally, nobody is sure.

An unusually late cut-off date for the age limit has raised question about the potential start date for Big Brother 2018.

It’s thought that Channel 5 may be airing the show later than usual in order to avoid clashing with ITV2 rival Love Island, which dominated the ratings in 2017.

What are the rules for applying?

To apply, all applicants must be aged 18 or over by Tuesday 31st July.

Applicants must be British Nationals, or have the right to reside in the UK or Republic of Ireland.

A closing date for online applications is yet to be confirmed. But, you know, better apply before you forget. Good luck!
