BBC Two struck gold with the brand new travel series Race Across the World.
After Elaine and Tony made it to Singapore first and took home the mega cash prize in the series 1 finale (Sunday, April 7th), fans of the show have been eager to find out what’s in store for the show.
Will it be returning for a second series? And will the show follow the same format?

Will Race Across the World series 2 happen?
After the success of the first series, as BBC Two has recommissioned the show for 2020.
Fans can rejoice as we can expect Race Across the World to return to our screens at some point early next year.

It is unclear at this stage whether the second season will take the same shape as the first.
We can expect a mammoth journey covering thousands of miles, but whether it will be from London to Singapore again, we can’t say as the route is still unconfirmed.
It could even be on a different continent for the 2020 series!

Race Across the World: apply!
The applications for the second series of Race Across the World have now opened.
To be in with a chance of competing for that £20,000 cash prize, you’ll need to apply through the BBC website, here.
However, there are requirements and not everyone can sign up. You’ll need to be a British citizen over the age of 18 and prepared to undergo psychological evaluations before the trip to make sure you’re fit for the contest!
But there is a lot of time to decide as the closing date is not until July 1st, 2019.
