The Youtube star has reacted to remarks that have been made from Deaf U viewers. Several fans were offended by how Cheyenna talked about deafness in the community. She said:

I recognize that “I am deaf enough” and the term of elitism, I recognize both things have harmed. I learned that the statement I used, “I am not deaf enough” is considered as a weaponizing and trope because this statement is harmful towards the deaf community when it is a marginalized group.

Cheyenna has revealed that she was angry towards the deaf community due to her traumas, frustrations and experiences she faced from a certain group that affected her thoughts.
