Has First Dates' Fred Sirieix had a hair transplant?

First known for his warm welcome to daters as the face of Channel 4 series First Dates, Fred Sirieix stars in the new season of Gordon, Gino and Fred Go Greek!, which returned to screens on September 27th.

With a fresh new look to the show, having travelled to a new destination on their road trip, viewers also noticed a change in Fred’s appearance, particularly with his hair.

Whilst fans are questioning if Fred’s new-do is a transplant, dyed or simply grown out, Reality Titbit has done some investigating and we have all the answers following the first episode of Gordon, Gino and Fred Go Greek!

Who is Fred Sirieix?

Born on January 27th 1972, Fred is currently 49 years old. French-born, Fred grew up in Limoges where he trained to work front of house at a Michelin-star restaurant.

He first appeared on our screens in 2013, when he was cast as the front of house at the Channel 4 First Dates restaurant.

Having appeared throughout all 16 seasons of the show to date, the father has since appeared on BBC’s Two Million Pound Menu and most recently on Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip.

As Fred is known for his short, neat haircut, fans were shocked to tune into the third series of Gordon, Gino and Fred Go Greek! on Monday night and see Fred with a darker and longer haircut.

Although Fred has not disclosed whether he has undergone any kind of hair transplant, it seems as though he has just taken a liking to a new style, maintaining the new length naturally.

Many have only just noticed Fred’s new look, however, his Instagram followers will know that his new-do has been a change for some time, first sporting the longer hair during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.

One fan commented, “I’m liking the longer hair Fred”, whilst he responded that it’s an ‘lockdown after effect’.

How many episodes will there be of Gordon, Gino and Fred Go Greek?

While the third season’s first episode Mamma Mia! premiered on September 27th,there will be just one other episode of the series.

The two-part road trip style programme saw the trio travelling around Greek Islands including Mykonos, Santorini and Crete, while the second episode will explore mainland Greece, travelling to Athens, Meteora and Attica.

The second episode will air on Monday the 4th of October on ITV at 9 PM, exploring the wine regions of Greece whilst trying the local delicacies.
