After comments on our article around Jordan North’s sexuality, Reality Titbit was pleased to hear from Gary, who had some provocative thoughts on why we shouldn’t care if Jordan North is gay or straight.
It’s time to stop hammering questions into Google and to let not only this I’m A Celeb star, but many others live in peace.

Who is Jordan North?
Jordan first joined the BBC as a researcher and producer on BBC Radio 5 Live. He is now an official Radio 1 DJ and often covers for popular hosts such as Scott Mills and Nick Grimshaw. On I’m A Celeb, he humbly announced that he used to be Victoria Derbyshire’s “tea boy”.
Just before his debut on I’m A Celebrity, Jordan had secured a lunchtime weekend slot on Radio 1. He told his fans on an Instagram post back in August:
“I have some news…from September I’m going to be in front of this mic a little bit more as I’ll be starting my new Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shows on @bbcradio1 – I’m chuffed to bits!!”

Why you shouldn’t be searching about Jordan’s sexuality
Having stumbled across this article, Gary emailed Reality Titbit to explain the issues with not only searching about Jordan’s sexuality but writing about it.
We felt the need to publish these thoughts as follow:
Gay or straight, Jordan North’s sexuality shouldn’t matter. Strictly has same-sex dancers, there has been a same-sex couple on Dancing on Ice, Emmerdale must be the gayest village on Earth and even Phil Mitchell lives with his gay son and his partner over on BBC One. Reality TV and TV, in general, should be at a point where Googling to find out about someone’s sexuality is considered wrong.
After all, to some individuals, being ‘out’ isn’t an option. If Jordan is gay he might have good reasons not to want to come out. Telling family, friends and colleagues might be difficult for him. There are many reasons which might be stopping him from coming out as gay, the biggest one, obviously, is because he’s not gay. Speculation itself can be stressful and traumatic.
It doesn’t matter how many millions of people voyage to Google to ask if he might be gay – it’s none of their business, it’s none of yours, and it’s none of mine.
What is Jordan’s dating history?
Jordan has never previously gone public with his relationships. He has had his Instagram account (@jordannorth1) since 2013, but there’s no sign of any kind of significant other.
He recently confirmed his relationship status to Radio Times and said: “I am single at the moment. But that is not the reason why I am going in!”
I just want to have fun and this is something that will stick with you forever. The fact I am going to be doing it doesn’t seem real.”
