What else is new? Castle Coins to Dungeon Trials

Now that I’m A Celebrity has moved to Wales, the Welsh equivalent of many elements of the show have come into play.

The show’s currency of the Dingo Dollar has been replaced with the Castle Coin. Jungle Showers are now Castle Baths and the famous Bushtucker Trials are now known as Dungeon Trials. The Outback Shack, where Kiosk Kev used to reside, is now Ye Olde Shoppe. So, that’s where we can expect to find Kiosk Cledwyn!

In 2020, the ITV show will be airing from Gwrych Castle in Abergele, Wales. The first episode is set to air from November 15th. This year’s lineup includes Shane Ritchie, Sir Mo Farah, Giovanna Fletcher and more!

What will viewers make of Kiosk Cledwyn?

Some I’m A Celebrity fans are sure to be delighted that the show has overcome the inconvenience of Covid-19, however, others seem to think that instead of relocating, the show should have just been ditched for a year. One fan Tweeted: “Kiosk Cledwyn doesn’t quite have the same ring to it as Kiosk Keith does“.

Others joked that Kiosk Kieth should be replaced by Welsh Gavin and Stacey character Nessa Jenkins. However, it turns out that Ye Olde Shoppe will be manned by Kiosk Cledwyn.

The I’m A Celebrity Castle has been likened to The Big Brother House and the Crystal Maze after the first images of the new “camp” surfaced on Twitter. The Castle doesn’t look as though it’s going to be a ‘home from home’ but does come complete with a red telephone box, single beds and a very basic-looking bathroom – this takes ‘shabby-chic’ to a whole new level!
