He went to Willesden High School and was a member of a youth theatre.
Shane then began his performing career as a bluecoat entertainer at a Pontins holiday camp Little Canada, Isle of Wight.

Shane’s relationship with his parents
As reported by the Mail Online, Shane has previously admitted to having had a troubled relationship with his father.
They fell out over Shane’s dreams of becoming an actor, but made amends.
Speaking about his dad, he told the Mail Online:
One of his proudest moments was when he came to see me one night at The Dominion Theatre in London’s West End where I was starring as Danny Zuco in Grease.
It seems like he has always been pretty close to his mum, and regularly jokes about her on I’m A Celebrity!
